Stanford SQUID Microscope User Facility

We have established a scanning SQUID microscopy user facility as part of the Stanford Nano Shared Facility. The user facility microscope features sample temperatures from 4K to over 100K, spatial resolution as fine as 1 micron, scan areas up to 150 microns on a side, a positioning range of up to 5mm on a side, ease of use, and rapid turnaround, such that one sample a day can be examined. To date samples from 25 principle investigators, from 17 institutions in 6 countries have been investigated using this facility. Topics of study have ranged from unconventional superconductivity to remnant magnetism in natural sands, and from topological insulators to transport in carbon nanotubes. If you are interested in using this facility contact Huiyuan Man: hman8 at stanford.edu.
